WVR - Waddesdon Village Radio - was a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week hit music internet radio station. Our slogan was "hits all day, classic hits all night." Each evening at 7pm, we switched to playing hits from the 1960s and 1970s, as shown on our schedule.
Based in the charming village of Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire—a village known for its lovely Victorian architecture and, above all, its wonderful community—WVR aimed to provide a radio service that residents could be proud of. We supported local groups and events with free publicity and welcomed shows from residents of Waddesdon and nearby areas.
Although WVR has now closed, our website will remain open until the end of 2025 as a tribute to our loyal listeners and dedicated presenters. We thank everyone who made this journey special.
